Ryan and Elizabeth contacted me because they wanted a courthouse wedding and they wanted someone to capture it in a special way. They already had a DSLR and Elizabeth knew how to use it, but they wanted to focus on the ceremony and not try to do both things at once. It was a wise decision.
They chose an elopement photojourney at Anderson Japanese Gardens followed by a ceremony at the courthouse. I brought my gear and we spent a few lovely hours together at the Gardens and then in the courthouse in downtown Rockford a short drive away.
As short as a time as it was together, this remains one of my favorite weddings. They knew exactly who they were and what they wanted, and it was a pleasure to capture their obvious affection for each other.
