What are your rates?
Short weddings are $2,000 and full weddings are $4,000. Photojourneys (engagements, family and portrait sessions, and rehearsal dinners) are $500. Albums start at $200.
How do we reserve our date with you?
To reserve your date, we’ll sign a contract including a 50% retainer. The balance is due any time between the contract signing and two weeks before your wedding day. The entire amount is refundable if neither I nor my second are available for the wedding. Don’t worry about that part. I’ve never missed a wedding.
When will our pictures be available?
Your pictures will be available digitally on the one month celebration of your wedding.
How many pictures will we receive?
You can expect to receive around 100 pictures with a photojourney, 200 pictures with a short (up to 5 hours) wedding, and 500 pictures with a full (unlimited coverage) wedding.
Do you speak languages besides English?
Yes! I can support weddings in English, Spanish, French, or German.
Do you support diverse and nontraditional couples and weddings?
Of course. I shoot couples of all shapes, sizes, colors, and orientations. Here is an example of a plus-sized wedding; here is an example of a multiracial wedding. Love is love and I’m here to document it. I also fully support Covid-cautious weddings, masking, and whatever accommodations are necessary to make your day as awesome as you are.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. My passport is current and I love to use it. Domestically, I’m available to shoot in all 50 states. Here’s a wedding from Michigan.
If the location is more than 3 hours from Rockford or Chicago, I do charge an additional fee to cover travel expenses.

Why wedding photography?
I like being a part of one of the best days of most people’s lives.
It doesn’t matter whether that puts me among 1000 guests in a packed reception hall or in an intimate elopement with just the couple. I love it all.
I shot my first wedding more than 15 years ago and every part of the process still makes me want to get up and go to work each morning.
I took a break after my wife (an amazing photographer in her own right) and I had children but couldn’t stay away.
Simply put, I think weddings are wonderful, messy, brilliant things.
